Mogok Ruby
The most famous Gemstones in the world
A sort of corundum, Mogok ruby is also Aluminium dioxide (AL203) and the colour gives pinkish red to pigeon blood red because it is infused with a small amount of chromium in its compostition. Among those light or strong color, the one with yellowish deep Red is favourite to gems connoisseurs. Crystallization forms of Ruby are Hexagonal system and the optic character is double refractive. Perfect Rubies are very rare and more hard to find than Diamonds. They are much more expensive. The gems quality of ruby above 3 carats are extremely rare. Rubies are mined in Myanmar, Srilanka, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Tanzania. But Myanmar top quality Rubies are Non-comparison to the others because of the colour and the characteristics of the Myanma Origin.
For their highest quality and top colour, Myanma Rubies has been accepted as the best in the world since several centuries that many ancient kings including European countries used proudly Burmese Rubies on their Royal Crowns.

Myanmar Ruby Land - Mogok
Mogok, which is also known as Ruby Land, produces many world's famous gemstones especially Rubies and Sapphires.
It is 120 miles Northeast from Mandalay and situated over 3,800 ft above the sea level. There is a big lake at the centre of the town.
That Lake was an old mine which was mined during colonial era. The mountain ranges around Mogok are really beautiful and gemstones are also found from some parts of them. Mogok Gems-Bearing area is about 2000 sq. miles. The Landscape of Mogok is really cool and you are recommended to visit there if you have a chance. We are sure you will be amazed.
